There are many who wish to create a better world. Not everyone knows how to engage to do so. Many resort to philanthropy as a convenient, uninvolved way to resolve their guilt. But philanthropy creates many undesirable outcomes, mainly it perpetuates dependencies. We must find better ways to solve the 'big problems', and I look forward to comments on how we can do that. But philanthropy must go out!

  1. As long as there are people who are willing to be 'dependent', there would be philanthropy in one form or the other. So I am not sure its philanthropy that sucks - its the fact that there is a need for it that sucks perhaps?

  2. Hey Manish thanks for your comment. Great observation, but unless there was ‘supply’ there would be no ‘demand’? We didn’t actually need a mobile phone till it was there?
